A Graduate Product Design Engineer who contributes to the creation and refinement of thoughtful, userfocused products through a balance of creative design thinking and solid engineering principles. In this role, you will support the full product development journey—exploring concepts, developing detailed designs, building prototypes, and validating solutions through testing. Working closely with crossfunctional teams, you’ll help ensure designs are technically sound, manufacturable, and aligned with user needs and project goals. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Working as part of a multidisciplinary team developing products for our external customers.
  •  You will be developing mechanical solutions for a range of products in the healthcare and consumer sectors.
  •  You will be involved in all aspects of product development - from concept generation, developing prototypes, running tests, and supporting development to full-scale manufacturing.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned. 

About You

  Technical Skills
  • 3D CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) for modelling parts and assemblies.
  •  Strong Prototyping skills using both rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting) and handson workshop techniques.
  •  Solid engineering fundamentals (mechanics, materials, manufacturing).
  •  Understanding of usercentred design principles.
  •  Basic testing and validation skills.
  •  Ability to create clear technical drawings (incl. basic GD&T).
  •  Basic Understanding of DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacture & Assembly). 

 

Creative & ProblemSolving Skills

  • Concept generation and sketching.
  •  Creative and iterative mindset with strong attention to detail. 

 

Collaboration & Communication

  • Clear communication of ideas and design rationale.
  •  Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Experience and Education: 

  • A degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
