About The Role

This role plays a crucial role in supporting the General Counsel developing and maintaining a high quality legal/commercial function and contributing to the delivery of exceptional legal and commercial services to your internal clients. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents, assisting with company secretarial matters and legal research.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct horizon scanning and other legal research to gather relevant information on case laws, statutes, and regulations, potentially across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate client and supplier contracts.
  • Instruct and work with external legal counsel.
  • Assist with company secretarial tasks.
  • Assist with gathering data for internal reports.
  • Triage of legal and commercial queries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and research abilities.
  • Ideally knowledge of legal software and document management tools.
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and Education
  • Batchelors degree, or equivalent, in any subject.Law degree and/or paralegal qualification preferred.
  • Ideally strong experience in commercial contracts with knowledge of legal and business, terminology and processes.
  • Experience as part of an in-house legal and commercial team desirable.
