About The Role
Cambridge Design Partnership [CDP] is an end-to-end innovation partner focused on helping clients grow. Some of the world's largest companies trust CDP to design and develop their most important innovations. In this key position as Head of Medical Therapy, your role will be to use your technical and market knowledge to define and execute a commercial strategy to drive sales in the medical therapy sector, in-line with the overall strategy of CDP, over the one year and longer-term timeframe. As a leader, you will organise and motivate your sector team to achieve commercial success and be accountable for growing profitable sales within this sector. We offer hybrid working and for this role we require you be in the Raleigh area or able to easily commute to the office to help build and support the team.

This role reports to the Head of Sales, and you will work closely with our Capability, Marketing and Sales teams to ensure that the sector has the appropriate levels of expertise and available resource to support business needs. You will be responsible for the strategic development of new business, with the support of the Business Development Leads, and to implement key client plans alongside the Client Managers in this sector.
Through regular monitoring of sector project performance (time, quality, cost) and sales investment fees, your role will see you coordinate with the Capability Leaders to ensure that project teams have the skills & competencies, processes, training, tools, and infrastructure to match market opportunities. As a senior member of the business, you will embed, maintain, and support our company culture and values.
About You
Extensive experience in medical device development and experience launching medical devices
Deep market knowledge within the Medical Therapy sector to help form strong relationships with key target clients
A proven and demonstrable track record of delivering sales with the medical therapy sector
Extensive experience of using Sales and Account Management process, to ensure timely and accurate sales forecasts and budgeting
Significant practical experience of medical devices industry-specific regulatory processes: working to Quality Management Systems such as ISO 13485 and FDA CFR21
Excellent sales presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, which you’ll apply to build relationships with clients and our cross-disciplinary development teams, mentor junior staff, and provide thought leadership at global industry events
Drive to rapidly build on existing skills, develop new ones, and apply your experience to a wide range of projects
Significant track record of defining vision and strategy for product development or business processes
Degree educated or equivalent
