About The Role
At Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP), our vision is to significantly improve and enrich lives through innovation. We are looking for Contractor Mechanical Engineers with expertise and experience in designing tobacco harm reduction devices such as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), or similar, who would be interested in joining our network of approved contractors to work on exciting project opportunities in the future.

You will use your in-depth specialist technical knowledge to help drive important development projects toward success. You will work closely with some of the world’s leading THR companies to develop cutting-edge and innovative products, from early-stage concepts to product launch.

About You

You will ideally have:
  • Expertise in designing aerosol delivery products such as vaping and heated tobacco devices from initial concept through to manufacture.
  • Experience in some of the specific complexities of ENDS, such as creating or analysing vaporising systems; designing interfaces between durable and consumable parts including safely managing fluid paths.
  • A highly creative and technical mindset in many areas: concept generation, engineering and statistical analysis, design of experiments, and design for high and low volume manufacturing.
  • A familiarity with the various regulatory requirements for ENDS such as TPD2 and PMTA
