About The Role
Cambridge Design Partnership are looking for Specialist Mechanical Engineers with significant expertise and experience in designing drug delivery devices to join our network of approved contractors for future project opportunities.
 
You will use your in-depth specialist technical knowledge to help drive important development projects toward success. You will work closely with some of the world’s leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies to develop cutting-edge and innovative products from early-stage concepts to product launch.  
About You
You will ideally have:
  • Expertise in designing drug delivery devices such as autoinjectors, infusion pumps and inhalers that include complex mechanical and electromechanical interactions from initial concept through to manufacture. 
  • A proven track record in designing some of the specific complexities of drug delivery devices, such as the need for high reliability and accuracy while navigating manufacturing and cost limitations. 
  • A highly creative and technical mindset in many areas: concept generation, engineering and statistical analysis, design of experiments, and design for high and low volume manufacturing. 
  • A familiarity with the various needs from the drug delivery regulatory requirements such as ISO13485, 21CFR820, ISO14971 and ISO11608; design control; compilation of Design History File; verification and validation.
  • Experience in designing devices intended for submission to the FDA, such as via 510k or PMA pathways.
