About The Role
Cambridge Design Partnership are looking for Specialist Mechanical Engineers with significant expertise and experience in developing in-vitro diagnostic devices to join our network of approved contractors for future project opportunities.
You will use your in-depth specialist technical knowledge to help drive important development projects toward success. About You
You will ideally have:
  • Expertise in designing diagnostics systems such as point-of-care testing that implement complex biochemical assays from initial concept through to manufacture.
  • Experience in some of the specific complexities of IVD devices, such as design or analysis of fluidic circuits on disposable devices; or consumable design, including the intricacies involved in interfaces with durable elements such as readers.
  • A highly creative and technical mindset in many areas: concept generation, engineering and statistical analysis, design of experiments, and design for high and low volume manufacturing.
  • A familiarity with the various needs from the IVD regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485, 21CFR820 and ISO14971; design control; compilation of Design History File; verification and validation.
