About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated professional to lead the business development efforts in the Medical Therapy sector. Your objective will be to identify commercial opportunities to exploit our skills and experience for the benefit of new and existing medical device clients. In addition to introducing new prospects, an important part of your role will include working closely with the sector head and our experienced technical specialists, to support them in writing proposals, and closing sales. If you can spot trends and can create opportunities in the market, love talking with (and listening to!) prospective clients to generate early stage leads, enjoy networking at conferences and nurturing prospects, and if you delight in the freedom that comes from working in a dynamic organisation, then you will have fun and thrive here! We can offer a hybrid approach to work for this role but we are ideally looking for someone to be based on the East coast.

About You
  • You are likely to have worked at a senior level within a medical device company, or technical consultancy specialising in this area
  • An excellent track record of initiating and managing business relationships in the medical device sector
  • Established methodology and proven ability in strategic marketing, networking, lead generation and qualification, supporting proposal writing and closing sales
  • A positive and flexible temperament: happy to work both as part of a team, and independently
  • Good degree in a design, engineering or science discipline preferable
  • Experience of medical device development and manufacturing processes from concept to market launch preferable but market understanding is essential
  • A working understanding of the following is highly desirable: medical device regulatory processes working to Quality Management Systems ISO 13485 and 21CFR820;  risk management to ISO14971; design control; verification and validation; compilation of Design History File; clinical trials.
  • Willingness and ability to travel
