About The Role
Cambridge Design Partnership [CDP] is an end-to-end innovation partner focused on helping clients grow. Our dynamic Insight and Strategy team successfully delivers creative solutions to meet the business ambitions of our clients at the front end of the innovation process.

We are now looking for a market research and consumer insights specialist to work within a multidisciplinary team of strategists, designers, scientists, and engineers. At CDP, you will be given the opportunity to fully utilise and develop your skillset and develop your career with growing responsibility in the team.

  • Design and execute user and stakeholder research, access the right data and translate this into actionable insight to enable our clients to achieve their innovation ambitions.
  • Use traditional and digital research methodologies.
  • Manage human-centred, evidence-based research projects from set up through to execution and analysis.
  • Manage external research recruitment and survey partners to ensure accurate and timely delivery of their work for multiple concurrent client projects.
  • Occasional travel nationwide and overseas when needed to conduct primary research in a variety of cultures and contexts (COVID restrictions permitting).
  • Help develop the Insight and Strategy team by coaching junior researchers and expanding the CDP toolkit with new research approaches.

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience working in a research agency, in a market/consumer research, insight, intelligence and/or market analysis role/s.
  • Experience of applying research techniques in at least one of the following sectors: Consumer Technology, Consumer Healthcare, FMCG, in line with the code(s) of conduct and guidelines for the relevant industry society or association (e.g. ESOMAR, MRS, BHBIA).
  • A track record of designing and executing qualitative and/or quantitative primary research including data analysis, and delivery of insights to senior clients, both written and presented.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to inspire colleagues with the added value of consumer-driven insight.
