About The Role
We are looking for an Insight & Strategy Consultant to join CDP's team and help provide clear, high-quality project recommendations to our life sciences and healthcare clients. Strong, well-evidenced insight is key to our strategic recommendations, and to building successful client relationships. The main duties of your role will be conducting sector-focused primary and secondary research to generate the market, user and technical insights needed to develop  business relationships and deliver impactful projects within diagnostics and life sciences markets.
This role will offer you the opportunity to build on your existing and proven expertise in key competencies within insight & strategy, including market research, strategy tools, workshop design and facilitation (face-to-face and using online tools), commercial analysis, business case development, and IP and technology landscaping. It will also give you a great background for building the skills required for a successful career in business development across these in-demand sectors.
 
You will be able to contribute increasingly broadly within our multi-disciplinary, multi-sector environment, and also support CDP’s overall business development and sector sales activities.

You will start by supporting business development and taking a leadership role on complex innovation insight and strategy programmes within our diagnostics and life sciences group, supporting our experienced senior team in developing this high-growth market sector at CDP. About You
  • Since graduation, you are likely to have obtained extensive experience in an insights, research, analyst or business development support role
  • Demonstrated leadership of key insight and strategy projects within diagnostics and life sciences
  • Shown an entrepreneurial attitude or commercial awareness
  • Realised commercial value through working on strategic projects or business development. 
  • Obtained a 1st or 2.1 degree in a life sciences subject such as biology, biochemistry, etc.
  • Be familiar with typical processes and equipment used in the life sciences and diagnostics industry 
  • Be articulate, knowledgeable and up to date with industry challenges, trends and emerging technologies
  • Have the confidence and ability to present your ideas and results in a compelling way 
  • Have exceptional organisational, time management and IT skills
  • Desirable would be special interest or some experience in cell and gene therapy or synthetic biology
