About The Role
At CDP you will lead healthcare product developments in a range of healthcare fields including novel drug delivery systems, medical devices and diagnostic devices. Working within our multidisciplinary teams you will be responsible for leading these technically complex projects for our clients. In return for your efficient organisation and skilful leadership, you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing your projects for ground-breaking new creations delivered well and making a difference to peoples lives.

Responsibilities include:
  • Project management of single large or multiple smaller projects
  • Agree and manage project plans including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities, quality assurance, deadlines and dependencies
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Tracking, communication and commercial management of scope change
  • Writing proposals in line with CDP processes including planning, costing, collaboration with relevant technical experts and senior management review
  • Relationship and stakeholder management engaging effectively with the client and managing complex needs
  • Review and negotiation of Master Services Agreement ensuring that agreed activities are implemented on projects
  • Accurate and clear project reporting both externally and internally
About You
  • Must have a degree and relevant technical or quality background with more than 3 years industry experience.
  • Track record of leading end-to-end medical device development projects, taking responsibility for quality, time and profit.
  • Experience of requirements definition, design, prototyping, test, regulatory approval, transfer to manufacture and commercial launch. 
  • Practical experience of healthcare industry-specific regulatory processes: working to Quality Management Systems such as ISO 13485 and 21CFR820; risk management to ISO 14971; design control; compilation of Design History File; clinical trial support.
  • Project leadership skills to empower the team and drive development efficiently and effectively towards well-defined goals. Highly collaborative bringing both the CDP team together and facilitating close working with the client team and other third-party organisations.
  • Extremely organised and forward thinking, identifying project risks and mitigating them effectively during the development. 
  • You will have excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence and the ability to problem solve pragmatically. 
  • Highly confident to present ideas and results in a compelling way to the client. 
  • Commercial awareness gained in one of the following environments: devices development / engineering / quality department of a medical or pharmaceutical company; technical / design consultancy; technology start-up
  • Ambition to learn and develop further technical, quality, project leadership, and business development skills.
