About The Role

During your Summer Placement you can expect to develop your technical skills and gain an understanding of new fields of design and technology. You will be part of a collaborative team developing products for a wide range of applications in the consumer, healthcare and energy sectors

We work in all aspects of product development - from concept, to testing, to prototype design and transfer to manufacture. This is an opportunity for you to gain an insight in what it is like working in a technical consultancy and vital commercial experience towards your future career.

Please ensure that you have included your A-level grades (or equivalent) on your CV and where applicable your University predicted grade for 2022.

About You
  • Must be studying a Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design Degree
  • Grade As in related ‘A’ Levels preferred
  • Conscientious and diligent when set a task
  • Attention to detail
  • Natural problem solver and confident to work without close supervision
  • A drive to learn and explore new areas
  • A good understanding of basic SolidWorks 3D CAD or similar
  • Understanding and experience of some prototyping and workshop skills
  • Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) is advantageous
  • Demonstrable interest in Product Design outside of formal education
