About The Role
As Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be leading multidisciplinary teams contributing to major development projects. You will be responsible for designing and implementing software for a range of product applications for our clients globally within the medical, consumer and energy sectors. You will be a client liaison, expert in your field, and lead projects successfully within budget and deadlines. You will participate and contribute in project reviews, brainstorm with clients and define product requirements and see your unique ideas launched into the market.

Our Raleigh facility is another step on the journey we are making to move closer to our international customers. Founded over 25 years ago in Cambridge, UK, we have clients all over the world and, while healthcare innovation remains our largest sector, projects range from cookware to complex digital systems.

Specialising in healthcare, consumer, and digital innovation, our solutions start at the point a business decides upon the need for innovation and finishes with the launch of a breakthrough new product that is customer-focused and commercially effective.
About You
Essential experience:
Linux, Unix, or RTOS target platform development
Run-time memory allocation and performance analysis
All phases of a rigorous SDLC process
Desirable experience:

Medical device development [IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA Guidance]
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication
Robotics development [motor control, CAN Bus and DDS communication protocols]
Multithreaded, parallel, or interrupt-driven application development
Microcontroller development and embedded C programming
Operating system performance evaluation and configuration
Continuous integration, containerization, and/or Python scripting
