About The Role
We’re seeking a talented, experienced Content Editor to bring our stories to life, creating excellent copy for our website, thought leadership programme and digital campaigns. A great writer but so much more, you’ll be guardian of the written word, saving us from dull, corporate copy, instead giving us a compelling, human voice.

The role requires creativity, a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt your writing style to different audiences and industries, while ensuring consistency of message and tone. The Content Editor will be responsible for communicating our brand story as well as the specific messages required in each of our key sectors, including consumer technology, FMCG, medical therapy, drug delivery, diagnostics and consumer health. You’ll be credible, authoritative and able to ‘hold your own’ when interviewing experts in their fields.

Working alongside a talented team of marketers and reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll have considerable autonomy and the opportunity to make your mark in a new, high profile role. Please supply links or samples of your work along with your application.
About You
What you will be doing:
  • Owning our tone of voice, developing a house style that’s human, compelling and appropriate for both the US and UK markets.
  • Taking first draft copy received from commercial and technical leads and bringing it to life, in reports, white papers, blog posts, bylined articles and more.
  • Interviewing commercial and technical leads, asking all the right questions and generating ghost-written content.
  • Ensuring all copy is technically credible and appropriate for diverse sectors.
  • Creating concise, finely honed copy for our lead generation and marketing automation programmes.
  • Owning the content calendar, liaising with all parts of the business to ensure our content creation engine runs smoothly.
  • Working hand in glove with our digital marketing team to improve the SEO of all web copy.
 
Experience required:
  • Considerable experience in a similar Content Editor role, with evidence of career progression.
  • Content editing experience gained in a relevant field, such as technology, engineering, science or consultancy.
  • Experience working with a digital marketing team, providing great copy for digital campaigns.
  • Hands on experience with the tools of digital marketing is desirable, for example content management systems, marketing automation tools or paid social media campaigns.
  • Experience dealing with subject matter experts, taking in complex information and creating accessible, fascinating copy.
  • A qualification in a relevant field, for example creative writing, communications or journalism.
