About The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at CDP you will have a key role within our growing team in Raleigh as we continue an exciting period of growth. You will be involved in developing products in a wide range of areas including; developing novel medical devices & drug delivery systems, medical robotics, cutting-edge diagnostics and consumer products which improve lives.
 
This role will offer you the perfect opportunity to apply your breadth of skills to help solve, and lead on, technically challenging projects.

About You
  • Highly capable in many of the following areas: Concept generation; Mechanism design; Materials selection; Analysis of static, dynamic, fluid or thermodynamic systems; Prototype and lab testing; Design for high and low volume manufacturing, Launch into manufacture, Manufacturing support, Manufacturing processes, Injection moulding
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - minimum GPA of 3.4, preferably 3.6 or higher is required for this position; a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
  • A determined drive to further develop your technical, project leading and commercial skills
  • Show an ability to think through and use reasoning to complete tasks
  • Excellent presentation skills with the confidence and ability to present your ideas and results in a compelling way
  • Strong commercial awareness in one of the following environments: technical / design consultancy; technology start-up; new product development department
  • Relevant practical experience with good evidence of project leadership with good analytical and creative capabilities
  • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD
  • A bright, conscientious and creative attitude
