About The Role
As one of our user research and human factors experts working in this critical element of our innovation process, your role is to identify, plan and implement a variety of user research techniques to support the creation of early stage concepts and test the usability of advanced designs and user interfaces. In this client-facing role, you, as our US-based user research and usability expert, will be comfortable interacting with clients and delivering your research insights and analysis. Cambridge Design Partnership is a leading technology and product design consultancy headquartered in Cambridge, UK, managing and delivering global projects for innovative consumer and healthcare companies. You’ll work alongside our cross-disciplinary user centred design team in this unique, dynamic and innovative environment.
About You
  • Extensive experience designing, moderating and reporting upon user research and usability studies (ideally both formative and summative)
  • The ability and confidence to implement observational, face to face and video/telephone interviews with healthcare professionals in a range of medical disciplines
  • Degree in Human Factors, Product Design, Engineering, Psychology or Social Sciences related field with a minimum GPA of 3.4, ideally 3.6 or higher is required
  • Design and implementation of workshops for new and exciting products
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills  
  • Commercial awareness and willingness and ability to travel nationwide and overseas (essential)
  • Knowledge of FDA & EU regulated healthcare products is an advantage
  • Design and planning of workshops for new and exciting products
  • Strong drive to rapidly absorb and develop skills and apply these to a wide range of projects
