About The Role
We are looking for a Contractor Resources Manager to work with our project teams to optimise the efficiency of our people resources and our team of contractors in particular. CDP utilise contractors across a range of capabilities including design, mechanical, electrical and software engineering. These contractors work with our full-time employees to perform projects chiefly related to the product development of innovative consumer and healthcare devices. Management of the contractors will involve recruitment, contracts management, deployment as well as ensuring the quality and productivity of their work output. To be successful in this role you will need to communicate effectively with Capabilities, Operations, HR, Finance, Sales and project leaders.
This role requires high levels of attention to detail and the ability to keep track of multiple activities and skills.  You will need to be flexible in your approach in order to deal with changes in priority.
About You
  • Degree educated ideally in a relevant science/engineering discipline
  • Methodical and good organiser with a proactive approach
  • Ability to prioritise a diverse workload whilst multi-tasking
  • Previous experience managing a pool of contractors, engineers or similar
  • Advance levels of Microsoft Office and experience of business systems software
  • Working knowledge of IR35 regulations
  • Remain calm and quality conscious when under pressure
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Resilient, reliable and dependable
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Experience of product development and/or engineering of consumer and medical devices would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of working within quality management systems, ideally ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 
  • Good interpersonal skills
