About The Role
As a Consultant Software Application Developer at CDP you will find yourself working on a wide variety of projects.  You will have the freedom to advise project leaders on the best way to solve problems and will be expected to deliver results in the way that you choose. You will be able to plan and lead on projects and help to support sales activities.

With a methodical approach and the ability to develop systems and structures, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software for a range of product applications for our clients globally within the medical, consumer and energy sectors. Experienced in working to tight deadlines, you will need to have a positive, outgoing and professional attitude. 

With our continuous support and training, we want you to become an expert in your field and develop strong client facing skills. You will participate and contribute in project reviews, brainstorm with clients, define product requirements and, most importantly, see your unique ideas launched onto the market.
About You
Essential:
  • 1st or 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software or Electronic Engineering
  • Desktop application programming for Windows using C#/.NET
  • Be able to demonstrate object-oriented design and programming skills
  • Able to self-organise and fit into an on-going (agile) development process
  • Development of mobile applications
  • A willingness to learn new technologies
  • An understanding of modern software development methodologies
  • An understanding of basic operating system principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

With some experience of the following:
  • Mac and cross-platform development using Xamarin
  • Development with embedded hardware
  • Graphical user interface design & implementation (WPF)
  • C++ and Qt/QML could be additionally beneficial
  • Database design and queries
  • Source control systems (e.g. SubVersion, Git)
